Is the winter season at your door and you
have no idea how to look stylish and fashionable in the cold? Figure out how to
stay warm but stylish and ooze hot fashion this winter! Here are few tips that
could help you to look ultra-stylish in winter.
Long Underwear: Underwear is the most valuable piece of garment during winter that is
often overlooked by men, women and kids. Woolen inner garments can be made of a
silk or thermal material. The silk underwear is thin and warm too and can
easily layer under your pants. Try to wear a short pair of comfortable woolen
socks. Put on your long thermal or silk underwear under your pants and pull
warm socks over them.
Tights: Tights are a flexible lifesaver garment. Tights must be thin and warm.
You can wear heavy woolen tights under a skirt, but thin warm tights are
ideally recommended for wearing under long pants.
Use a good quality coat or jacket: Predominantly, the thicker the better. You can wear a woolen
pea coat, synthetic ski jackets, parka or cardigan depending on the weather and
occasion.
Wear loose sweaters: Tight clothing is not a good winter
insulator as it may not trap any heat. Try to wear loose sweaters. Try knitted sweaters, woolen fleece tops
and thick hoodies. Make sure that your hoodie has 2 or 3 layers inside it.
Insulated boots: The inner
linings of winter boots should preferably be wool or synthetic, and not cotton.
Linings can be acquired separately. You can buy boots that are already
accompanied by lining or buy boots two sizes larger than your size and use an
external lining.
Snow Boots: If you live in a snowy place, you have to wear snow boots in winter. Snow boots are a little expensive. You can use inexpensive rubber boots and use
liners inside the boots to make it cozy and comfortable.
Use Scarf, Gloves and Caps: You can protect your fingers and
hands from the winter frost by wearing gloves. Your scarf must be broad knit or woolen. You can also use stylish caps or hats. There
are plenty of websites where you can get high quality woolen cap for men in India.
Some
exceptional tips:
- Do not over dress.
- You should be warm and dry at all times.
- Dress for function and fashion at the same time.
- You can use mittens instead of ordinary gloves, as they are good insulators.
- Dress up in layers so you can open your jacket as the temperature rises up.
·
Avoid cotton when you are
outside. Cotton is known as “the death fabric” among outdoors men because it is
not a good insulator and can absorb water rapidly when it is wet. Cotton also causes
rapid loss of body heat.

Dressing
for a day of skiing will be totally different than dressing for a sitting day
of picnic or ice fishing. Your purpose determines your winter outfit.
